Never be the first to adopt any thing new! I too am waiting for the bottom to fall out of the M9 market. Or maybe, I'll trade in my D3 & Mamiya w/P20 and "marry-up" to a M9 and lenses. That way, police officers, security guards and park rangers will stop harassing me everytime I set up my tripod.

I got harrassed setting up a Tripod in downtown Portland Oregon, when I visisted...

NOT ALLLOWED, PAL...!!! A DANGER TO OTHERS!!

Typically, you need a city license that is temporary for your "Professional Photo Shoot" That is how they will see it on busy public areas.. South Beach, FL is infamous for this!

Just pm me for my Paypal address to leave a deposit...:D

It's made by Epson, right?

The RD-2.

Mystery Solved.

It's a 6MPixel camera, using the same CCD as the Nikon D-100.

But now, it has a "2" in it instead of an "s" or an "x".

Sepiareverb/Robert, the question here, since you have one of whatever this is already in your hot little hands is: what do you recommend to those of us in the great unwashed masses?

I don't get it. Why do some people thing a new digital RF would put Leica out of business? Aren't we forgetting that Leica also has branding power? That's why we will never see a $1200 digital M even if they could build it for this price point. Just think about all the $2000 handbags out there on the market. Do you really think the materials cost that much?

I've read somewhere that Leica's film M sales only account for about 5% of their total sales. There's probably more new Leica binoculars out there amongst the birdwatchers than there are new film M users.
