Arista Premium Developer Powder: Proper mixing and use?

Hello,

Well it has been a while since I have developed some film so I thought it was time. I ordered the Arista Premium film developer in powder form, I probably should have ordered the liquid stuff, next time.

I mixed the developer as stated on the envelope.

Instructions for use: Dissolve contents of package in 100oz of water at 100 degrees Fahrenheit and stir until disolved. Bring to one gallon final volume for use. Use as stock solution or at 1:1 dilution.

I am a little confused at the last sentence to dilute 1:1 or not?

Dilute it to make a gallon. At that point, when developing film, you can choose to use it straight or 1:1 (equal parts stock and an added similar amount of water).
