I was contemplating on the Bessa III or a Hassy V series for quite some time to replace my RZ which I sold 2 years back. I missed the big negative 6x7 which is my choice vs 6x6. Bessa would be nice as I may have that option but at the end of the day I decided that the flexibility to change lenses is something that I can not compromise. I've handfled a Bessa III for a few minutes courtesy of my friend. The RF/VF is excellent it is very easy to focus with a contrasty patch and quite compact when folded. Last week after reading all available information in the net, I pulled the trigger on a brand new Mamiya 7II with an 80 4.0 lens for a start and it arrived today. It took me a while to check the instruction manual before I mounted the lens and install the battery. The M7 is not something that you can take out of the box and start shooting IMO. Btw, the price I got is way cheaper than a brand new Bessa III and a used mint 503/501. I'm not sure why this is so in Asia????? Well here it is just arrived from the mail.

[Drooling]. So what is the going price for this setup in Asia these days? I'll be visiting Bangkok later this spring.

Thanks Coelacanth! Btw, shipping is free though it was not thru Fedex as earlier quoted but EMS Japan Post which is not bad. I had it declared as gift "Film Lomography Camera" and customs did not even bother to tax me hahaha.

Thanks Denmark I definitely will. I only have 2 rolls of Neopan 400 unfortunately can't get more as they discontinued the 120. I'll try HP5 and Delta 400 instead.

Yeah, Ive heard about that. sad news indeed..

I hope to see it one time too! along with your Leica's.. hahaha.. lets go for a shoot when everthing clears up in our scheds! hehe..
