Atrocity committed against my Luigi case

Luigi: You've just redefinied customer service for me. If I had the money, you'd have an order for a case. One day soon, I'll make sure you will!

Print a few fliers with two pictures like at the start of this thread: what you wanted and what you got. Then stand on the sidewalk outside his shop handing them out.

Max thirty minutes before he offers you the price of a replacement case to go away.

Thank you all for the help, advice, and consoling in this thread. Most of all, thanks are due to Luigi, who has always been the perfect retailer. It was this thread that made me decide to send off my membership fees to Jorge. The sponsors on this board are really amazing. Between Luigi and Tony, I have had better pre-sales, during sales and after sales service than I have ever had in any field. My dealings with Stephen, Rich and Gordy have been more limited, but I have also found them all wonderful to work with.

In any case, Luigi is certainly a man of his word. The case was shipped on his Wednesday, and is due to arrive TOMORROW in Minnesota. I had him ship it there just to be safe, but it is a testament to his service that he shipped out the case before 11 am on the same day he heard about the problem, without even waiting for my payment. Though Luigi had earned me as a lifelong customer before this, this will only further my devotion! I hope one day to get to Rome so that I can thank him in person.

As for the old case, I will send it to him once I get back, and we will see what can be done with it. If it can't be fit to the MD, then perhaps we will fix it up a bit and sell it at reduced cost to a student.

Atrocity committed against my Luigi case

Stuart, what I would do -- if you can -- is use it as is until you come back and then return it to Luigi, with a brief explanation, and ask if he can clean it up by sewing a patch over the offending hole with the pattern you now want...He might even be able to cut out the offending work and sew in a new piece level with the back of the case...Good leather workers can do wonders and when you get it back, it will look almost as good as new... 🙂 regards --and good luck -- bob cole

You should see what they do to automobiles. When they are taken in for service they wash it for you. Big favor! After a few trips it looks like it was washed with sandpaper. And that is a $30,000 car. They no longer give me free washes.

If you want it done right, do it yourself. Sorry the world has turned to fast buck garbage with damn few exceptions.

I've got to echo the favorable comments about Luigi's integrity as a seller. Luigi really wants his customers to have a good experience, as we just saw in this thread. Currently I'm waiting for my third Luigi case to come in the mail. Every contact I've had with him has been marked by his courtesy and attention to what you want. If you want to experience a luxury item, give in to the G.A.S. and treat yourself to one (or two) Luigi cases.
