Hi,
I finally decided to take a stab at repairing my Certo 6 mirror. I am using a mirror from the Yashica camera and would like to know any tips before I make a mistake while I am ripping it apart.
I can't find the old thread that I read about someone posting pictures of their repair.
Thanks

It's a great thread. I used it to fix my Certo Six a few months ago:

I'll try to add a few tips I learned along the way.

Certo Six rangefinder alignment
Certo Six rangefinder alignment
Hello,
I recently acquired a Certo Six, and will have to replace the mirrors.
Looking inside the camera it isn't obvious as to how to adjust the vertical alignment.
Does anyone here have any experience of performing this adjustment?
Thank you,
Jonathan

I did full replacement of the mirror and ½-way mirror. Use Google translate and see on this webpage.
Check beforehand if the replacement mirrors have the same thickness. If the thickness is different, the alignment is no longer correct. For one way surface mirror you can add thickness at the back.

I assume the range finder lever just have to be adjusted.
There is also a little pull that slowly moves the lens and focus without me touching it.

If you want it working properly, send it out to a trained camera technician for repair. For a folder, I'd send it to Jurgen Kreckel, the owner of Certo6.com.

I will send it to Jurgen. But I am leaving the country for health reasons and want to get the camera with me.
