Attitudes here on RFF

I know a little Irish, but it starts with pog and ends with ... well, never mind.

And I don't like anyone here. So there.

Quote:
The Merry Minuet - Sheldon Harnick, performed by The Kingston Trio

They’re rioting in Africa
They’re starving in Spain
There’s hurricanes in Flo-ri-da
And Texas needs rain

The whole world is festering with unhappy souls
The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles
Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch
AND I DON’T LIKE ANYBODY VERY MUCH!!

But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud
For man’s been endowed with a mushroom-shaped cloud
And we know for certain that some lovely day Someone will set the spark off
AND WE WILL ALL BE BLOWN AWAY!!

They’re rioting in Africa
There’s strife in Iran
What nature doesn’t so to us
Will be done by our fellow man

Never more true...and it was written in 1953.

Now that brings back memories. Thanks for that Bill.

As to the thread topic: First, happy birthday. Then; everybody else has already said anything worth saying.

I've posted comments, some serious some not, on this site several times and also
sold two RF cameras in the classifieds, one MF and one 35mm. Both sales were
upfront, painless, efficient and went to prompt payers/buyers who couldn't have been better. Granted two isn't a large sample, but I haven't read any posts about
rip-offs herein, though I don't scour the site every waking second. Compared to
Fleabay, it seems the RFF is mostly trustworthy and doesn't require one to take
the Caveat Emptor Oath before selling/buying--although it's still good to keep it in mind. All in all, my experiences herein, though limited, have been positive and straighforward. Given the dog-eat-dog marketplace world out there, it seems the RFF is a refuge of sorts. Maybe it's the nature of RF buffs. Who knows?
