Made me just go and order an autocord ... thanks guys 🙂 Not sure exactly what model, but apparently the focus lever isn't broken, it was a $100 gamble with a bunch of accessories, so I'm hoping the shutter isnt stuck.


Anyway I'm hoping it gets here before the weekend, will post the results.

I fondled a *mint*, hardly ever used Autocord at my regular repair shop yesterday. Focus helicoid grease had been renewed and focus was silk smooth. They demand twice the market price for an user but I definitely felt (and still feel) tempted to grab it.

If you have "post" shaped strap connectors on your Autocord, the strap from Gordy's Camera Straps works well. Very happy with how it feels. I was at first worried that there wasn't enough "lip" on the connectors to hold the string but Gordy assured me that it would hold fine. Very secure.
