Other than to just have a complete package, I already have the Yashica Pro-50 DX flash, do these lenses and finder serve any purpose? Will they work as intended? Anyone actually use them? I can get a decent set and was just wondering if it was worth it and how much to pay

Yes they do work, but they are a bit of a hassle to use and don't really extend the range of the GSN that much. I've heard the wide gets around 35mm and the tele gets to about 70mm. You also have to focus with the camera then transfer the settings to the lens.
If I need a focal lenth too far from 40-50mm I just use my SLR (but don't tell anyone else in the forum, they will all point at me and laugh).
As for the price? I bought some on ebay as part of whole set with a camera, I can't remember the price. I ended up giving them away to somebody from this forum.
The close up adapter is kinda cool if you like doing macro shots.

I screw them into my P&S digital Canon A70. Cool effects.

now that is cool to know, my GF has an A80 i think...i'll have to try with them. Thanks for the tip!

As for their use on my GSN...i shot one soft roll because i didn't focus properly, it was sort of more pita than it was worth...but i got mine in a great trade, which is half the fun of having them.

I tried screwing them to a 50mm lens on my SLR, had to use a lens hood as a spacer. It looked so crappy through the viewfinder that I didn't even try shooting any film. If I stumble across another set, I'll have to try it.

.

You'll need the tube thing. The tube for the A70 has 52mm threads. Not sure what the A80 has. So I had to get a 52->55 step up. I mostly use the wide angle. Works good. Fun shots.
