Hi All! After a bit of time away from my RF camera, I made a new year resolution to shoot more. I have a great little Canon IVSb that I got some time ago, but it is missing the bottom plate. I have not seen one for sale, and whenever a rapid winder comes up for sale on eBay, it goes for $150+ which is out of my price range, so I guess my question is 2 part....

1. Is there a place where I can get the bottom plate for this camera? Maybe someone one has a parts camera here?!?!

2. Should I just throw the camera on eBay instead of waiting around for the part and buy myself a complete IIf? Any idea how much this can fetch?

The reason this is something I want to do, is that I have a beautiful Canon 50mm f/1.5 sitting around and no LSM body to attach it to.

Any help is appreciated!

mighty nice camera with that Canon 50/1.5 lens once you add a $20 base plate to it so the film won't fall out.

Thanks! I picked it up at a local store for $100. I knew the lens was a gem, and the whole thing looked like no one ever used it. It is amazing to see the quality with which these were built. Now that I can use it (cross my fingers), I can't wait what images can be had....

Thanks again!

nice camera & nice lens, if you ever get tired of this kit, you can almost triple your outlay on the lens alone on our classifieds.
I am looking to buy a clean one, some time in the future.

This may happen as I am getting married in April. I have a feeling some of my gear may end up in the classifieds section, but I hope it doesn't come to that. I will let you know for sure! The lens is 100% prestine, not a mark, no a dust particle. For now, I can't wait to just try it out. Thanks again for the help!
