B&W from Luxor, Egypt

Wonderful images! I especially liked the market images. Very lively with beautiful tones.
The picture with the McDonald's sign somehow made me a bit sad.
Well done Bas, thank you.

This is very nicely done.

It is strange how the word "Al-Aqssar" ended up being "Luxor" when using the Egyptian dialect for Arabic.

Really nice photos. I also really liked the market photos, especially numbers 10 and 20. Number 16 also caught my attention.

I didn't know that was where the word came from. Thanks Raid. I can see such a thing being misunderstood by a westerner not listening too closely. But anyway, now I know.

Thanks Raid, that was enlightening. Great series of pictures of the market. I had very limited time at the market when I visited Luxor in 2010. I would like to go back at some point.

I have been three times to Cairo, but that was the only place that I visited in Egypt.

Thnx all. Luxor is more relaxed then Cairo...And the markets are a great place to spend your time... Just hangin' around ill they get used to you... And there is no hassle on the Egyptian market... On the tourist market it's hell...haha
