I have a pet analogy for teaching it, involving lots of little guys called 'Joe Coulomb' who run around the circuit, dropping off 'jewel's' (or Joules...) at each resistor.

So, from going to talking about a bunch of Joes to my class, I'm now off to buy a bunch of Joes. How surreal.

Shouldn't they be Joe Electron that carry Carbons(Coulombs) to to devices that transform them into Jewels (Joules)?
