Just got my 4 Joes at Popflash. Received confirmation. Everything in order.

Whew! For a moment there I was afraid I might be too late and we might have reached the total. This thread has received such rapid response.

I too agree that if not the lens, at least the ZI body should be delivered as a actual gift. Maybe Joe could use the remainder of the total to pick up his own choice of lens (ZI of course!).

An engraving like 'to joe from RFF' is quite nice, though I don't know how it would be done.

Thanks to Frank, Ray and Tony Rose for what must have been quite a nuisance to handle.

Maybe there's a jeweler down the street from Popflash that can do it.

If you look at the bottom of any given thread there is a list of users currently viewing that particular thread. Joe's user name (back alley) was spotted viewing the thread earlier.

Although now I see there are two guests viewing the thread. Perhaps he signed off his user name and is now checking it out anonymously? Hmmm...

I'm not a collector but I know a few. They advise that engraving things is bad because it diminishes value. I think a nice card or an engraved case perhaps, but the camera... what do others think regarding the impact on the camera value?

Yep that's right. OTH with RFF being the reference site on the internet for rangefinder photography, something like that would only increase its value 😉

Josh is supposed to call me back this afternoon with some numbers after he runs a total on the orders. An hour ago, Josh's guesstimate was $1500. (Tony is out of town this week.)

We have to keep at it. Josh at Popflash guessed wrong.

He just called and said he had $590 in credit card payments and $40 in money orders (to be received). He mentioned that some international credit card orders were declined. 😕

Plan on keeping this thread open for a few more days.
