Arizona and snow: two words one doesn't often assoscaite together
I really liked these shots! I suprised myself, I wasnt quite sure what the post was going to be. Ill be in AZ in Feb., is it common to have snow around parts of AZ then? I love photographing where theres some snow, sadly, I get zero here. Thanks for the post, Ive been thinking about this lens, that helped!

By the way, that "face on the wall", is a collegue of mine.( I use collegue loosely, Im a clothing designer, he dabbles in that as well) That face is actually, literally a worldwide known street art staple, you can catch it in all corners of the globe, his name is Shepard Fairey, and that face is the Obey Giant, you can check it out here, you stumbled onto a piece of famous street art, and it being in AZ just proves the far reaching of arm of Obey, and its study in phemenology. Shepard is well known for politically motivated artwork more so now. Check his site out here

One of my favorite lenses. You can certainly use yours to good effect. We thought we might get some of that snow since it happens in Bakersfield once every decade, but no we didn't.

That was my first time out with the new R3A.
It was a relief to have auto exposure while walking and shooting. My comfort zone still needs some work, so one less thing to worry about was good.
I did have one problem...the exposure compensation dial moved to a couple of clicks underexposed. I'd set the ISO to overexpose a bit out of habit and things worked out in the end.
It really was a pleasure to shoot with that camera.

Steve, did you use the 40mm frame, lines or the full finder with the 35?

I used the 40mm framelines because I basically forgot they were not 35mm...in the heat of shooting sort of thing....
I tend to compose a bit too tightly, so overall, it worked out for me. In fact, I've almost not cropped at all in preparing these shots.

In Bisbee, Arizona, a mere five miles from the Mexican border, we had five inches of snow Sunday night. However, Bisbee is 5500 feet above see level.

I like how the images turned out. The Ultron is a nice lens. I don't shoot it enough, 35mm isn't my focal length in RF, but I should try more.
Yeah, Arizona and snow; I think you're getting what we're not getting in Minnesota.

We have only just, last two days, had our first frost, normally starts in October! The light has been dull all winter hardly taken any pics for months, it was -7 stops (ev7 or 8) midday Saturday.

I love monochrome work; I love your "face on the wall" shot. The photo would diminish to nothingness were it not for the two figures in the frame. Good work!
