Tonight I used my newly installed darkroom for the first time. Oh, it feels good to be back after more than 15 years! The new Focomat V35 was a pleasure to use and it took me only three trials and errors to feel comfortable again. I only made a few 13x18 prints, but once I have a set of 30x40 cm trays the real work will start.

Congrats, that's exciting, I hope to be in a similar situation by next weekend, only w/ a 1C.

Thomasw,
Congrats back at ya.
What do you use for vc filters? Is your 1C drawerless?

The Focomat Ic is a nifty machine. Mine is gray wrinkle-finished and has a built-in filter drawer between the condenser and the bulb. Everything works a treat. The autofocus feature is really convenient, provided you use the right kind of easel.

Just developed my first roll in 12 years myself--literally--it's still rinsing as we speak. Good feeling. Good smell...
It's amazing the small things/tricks/routines/standard operating procedures that you forget, though.
Now, if I only had a darkroom.

Darkroom printing lives
Huub, we should do a print swap
I'm very excited when people start to do darkroom printing. I think it's too precious of a craft to be forgotten.
Heck, you can shoot digital and make digital negatives to enjoy darkroom printing.
