my question is how does the f2.8 Schneider-Kreuznach Radionar stack up against the tessars on the super ikontas. sharpness, bokeh and contrast. thanks for any help.

The Radionar is a triplet. It is not as sharp as the Tessar, although by f/8-f/11 the gap between the two narrows.
Most classic Tessars will almost always give round out-of-focus regions when shooting at close distances and wide open to about f/5.6. The Radionar is a bit better in this regard.
The Radionar that I used on a 127 camera vignetted noticeably. It was an interesting lens but certainly not the equal of the Tessar.

The f2.8/50 Schneider lens as found on Balda Supers, is absolutely fantastic for the price one pays. Excellent colour rendition and sharpness with fantastic contrast and bookeh. Look at it for what it is, rather than comparing it with other makes.
