Basic lens finger tab use inquiry...

Okay, this is a really basic question! I just bought a CV 21/4 current version. Of course, it has a 'finger tab' on the focus ring. I have never had a lens with such a tab feature before, and am trying to develop a standard way of using it. Do you use your left hand index finger or thumb to focus such a lens? Does anyone here have a pic to share of one in use? Thanks...

I don't think there is a definitive way of using it....... just whatever is most comfortable for you.

Sometimes pinch it between my thumb and index. Sometimes i just move it around with my index finger.

I use only my index finger on the CV25 and CV35.. They're too small and close to the camera body to use my thumb as well..

I too use it in more than one way, thumb_index pinching one of the sides of the tab or placing my index finger and moving. usually the first method is used for when more accuracy is needed, but not a rule...

the index finger falls naturally on the focus tab when you support the bottom left corner of the camera with your thumb joint.

I do it precisely like Aizan. I like using focus tabs.
