Basic lens mount question

So now that I'm impatiently awaiting my 'streetwalker' red FED 5V, I've begun to peruse the various web-sites which discuss the various FSU RF lenses and their quirks.

I came across one amazing web-site, the Kiev Survival Site; I'm sure that most of you already know about it.

On the site, there is an incredible section which details the teardown and rebuild of most of the Jupiter lenses; very useful.

Here's my question: apart from the mounting system being different for FEDs and Kievs, are the lenses of the same construction? In other words, even though I'm hurtling myself headlong into the world of Leica screw-mounts, if I ever needed to tear down a lens, would the instructions for the Kiev mount Jupiter lenses be just as applicable?
