Batch resizing scans?

My scanner, an antique by most computer standards - a Microtek Scanmaster 4, decided to die a little while back. The power switch won't stay on, alas. So I've been getting my color and chromogenic developed at the local Walgreens where they'll scan to cd for a couple bucks extra.

The only problem with these scans is that they are 1800x1215 which is a smidge  large for the gallery here. I'd like to find a freeware solution for batch resizing these jpegs if one is available. The box I do this on is a Windows XP machine (the Sun workstation I'm sending this from doesn't have the scanner or my CD-RW attached).

Hints, tips, tricks all greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

William

If you don't already own it, download Irfanview - www.irfanview.com

It's a brilliant and FREE file viewer and it does many other things, including batch resizing. Get the free Plugins too -- they're handy.
