film is exciting
Yesterday I worked in my very own darkroom. I was recently given an enlarger ,trays, and a bunch of chemicals formerly owned by Bruce Springsteen photographer Frank Stefanko.
I set up my processing trays in the shower floor set the enlarger on the other side and hung my safe light up .
After several overexposed attempts , I made two or three prints that were ok and one I really enjoyed. This was my first darkroom attempt and I can say I am now hooked , this is as much of a rush as when I developed my first roll of film and pulled the negatives off the reel.
Trial by fire as always .
I read as much as I could on the subject, but I just decided I needed to actually just try it. Next step , get a medium format carrier and finish putting together my bronica etr kit.
Roger's modules on buildng your own darkroom really came in handy for this and I want to thank him for providing such great information.
