Having just finally won the struggle of the stuck battery cover, I'm now at my second bridge crossing. Yashica FX-2 once took a 1.3v mercury battery. Anybody know the modern day equivilent?😕
alternately - you can spend a few bucks to get a Chris Camera battery converter, that uses smaller 1.5v easily found silver button cells, and converts them to the right voltage and size.
the MR9 converter (about $25 I think) should replace the one in your Yashica. If you shoot it alot, it's well worth it IMO, since you can buy replacement batteries just about anywhere (and for cheap).
