So my birthday is coming on the 6th of Feb. I misses the holiday RFF meet in SF, but would love to do something soon. I'm wondering how many of us would be available for a meet in two weeks, on the weekend of the 5th. Looking to do some shooting and have some fun!

A fellow Aquarian. yay!!!

I'll be in the Bay Area in early March. So, we can have another meetup then. :)

Im rather new to RFF and live in SF: I would like to meet up with some of ya's, but cant do it that weekend, maybe some other time.

If we're really keeping track, I'm Aquarius too, Jan 26th... :)

I'd be up for another meet, sunday's are pretty much always better than saturdays for me, FWIW.

i'd be game for any/all as my schedule is extremely flexible

... this thread/proposal might get more attention from SF regulars if it was posted in (or moved to) the Bay Area regional subforum??

Another Aquarius here. I'm in if I get back from Minneapolis in time.

If so, Santa Cruz Kevin, I'll check in regarding carpooling to the city.

If it's on Saturday or Sunday and in some proximity to a BART station, I might be able to make it (thinking about the return trip to Sacto).

Sounds fun. Now to pick a place to meet. If we go along Bart we have Embarcadero/Marina area. Downtown. Civic Center/Hayes Valley. Mission.

I checked the events guide but didn't find much. There will be some lion dancing at some of the public libraries and an asian art show at Fort Mason. There is also a fine print fair at The fort mason center.

If we did Mission or Valencia we have plenty of space to walk around, have plenty of places to stop for drink or food, and have close access to Bart.

I'm a little weary of the Market Street Meander, so my vote would be for somewhere else in the city (Mission, etc.) or even the East Bay (Berkeley -- but I suspect getting SF people across the bay and out of their backyard is about as likely to happen as me winning the lottery without buying any lotto tickets!) ;-)

Still, I'm happy to go along with the group wherever -- even if that's Market/Embarcedero again.

Oh east bay... I'll be there on Feb 5, but probably won't be able to meet up. As always, I love Sundays in SF because of the free parking and (sometimes) smaller crowds. Maybe we could do the graffiti areas in the Mission? Or just get something good to eat.

OMG... someone dictate a day at least and then we figure out where to go and who can make it.

Uh... SUNDAY in the Mission? Is that kosher with folks?

That weekend is good for me. However, Sunday, Feb 7 is Super Bowl Sunday. There might be a few parties and the bars might be filled on that day. Maybe Saturday the 6th is a better day to meet.

Ouch. Hadn't though about the superbowl. Somehow I never do...

Still, Sunday would be better for me, since I'll be at work on Saturday.

btw- it was good to meet you yesterday Kevin (kzphoto), hope i can make the meetup.

Saturday Feb. 6 would work for me. I'm w/ Kevin on an alternative venue to Market St. I'm still lobbying for Berkeley (or Oakland?), but here's another suggestion: Fort Mason, Marina, down to Chrissy Field.

Berkeley or non-market/mission sounds good. Of it's Super Bowl Sunday I'll have to take a rain check, if Saturday I'm there :)

Not sure there's enough on Treasure Island to occupy a group for a photo shoot, but I was shooting there a couple of weekends ago. There's some decent urban landscape-type stuff and of course great cityscape/bridge shots. I agree that the whole Market/Powell Streets are getting tiresome. I was down there yesterday and aside from the group I was with (about six photogs) there was a large Flickr-based workshop group there as well. Crowded with photogs!
