It’s from a glamour photography in the 1950s website Glamour Photography in the 1950sIt takes some dedication to walk around with 5 camera of different formats. Beautiful model though.
When I reverse search the image to find more information about it, AI seems to be getting it wrong. It says this is Diane Arbus which I think is wrong.
Does anyone know more about this picture?
I think it is an external flash connectorAs someone who often carries 3 or more cameras on walks I feel seen.
That said, what's that thing on the Rolleiflex... I have seen it before, but no matter how much I rack my brain I come up blank...
You used to see them on 4x5 press cameras to synchronize the different flash bulb types to the leaf shutter. That said, what's that thing on the Rolleiflex... I have seen it before, but no matter how much I rack my brain I come up blank...
Now that would be very Diane Arbus. Or Joel-Peter Witkin. 😉Weird picture: someone put a leg in front of her -or is it just me?
How many here noticed the cameras before the model? This is a tough crowd. Or an ageing one... 😉It takes some dedication to walk around with 5 camera of different formats. Beautiful model though.
Haha - very true! How many here noticed the cameras before the model? This is a tough crowd. Or an ageing one... 😉

Something is sad about this photo. Google shows it has been placed without credit to author in several places.Copied off a Facebook posting. No information given on post.
I just noticed only one object in my style/taste. Leica. How many here noticed the cameras before the model? This is a tough crowd. Or an ageing one... 😉
Truly, an eye for beauty!I just noticed only one object in my style/taste. Leica.
I'm guessing back in the day this was a commercial shoot and neither the model or photographer ever received any credit. They got paid, end of story. I wonder who the ad was for. Too many different cameras to be paid for by one camera company. A story line for some magazine.Something is sad about this photo. RFF just become one of them.
