I got this Beauty Canter this weekend. It's in very nice condition, BUT the shutter seems to be stuck. The camera winds and the shutter button works but the shutter does not open....any suggestions??
I thought about trying to take the front mount off, but I don't want to make things worse.

@blumoon: Thanks a piggin' bunch, That's another ruddy camera I'll prolly end up buying! I've already got 7 and not enough room for them.

Well, I unscrewed the front lens piece, and used a Q-tip with some lighter fluid on it.
The shutter started working. I snapped the shutter many times and it kept working, but after letting the camera sit for a bit, it would be stuck again.
I repeated with the lighter fluid, and it would work, sit a bit, then not work.
I'm wondering if I should try a very small drop of WD-40 or Break-Free???
Any suggestions??

Sounds like dirt/oil/grease not so much on the shutter blades but more in the shutter ring and other mechanisms. Don't use any sort of spray, the shutter blades must remain dry. It needs stripping and cleaning by the sound of it.
