sucks....i was shooting a the pride festival this weekend in the LB...some half drunk person managed to spill half their beer on me and my camera bag...thankfully, the bag was closed, so most of it rolled off, but he managed to dump some beer on my recently acquired 35/f2 :(..... i dried it off...didn't seem so bad at the time, but the next morning the aperture ring was sticky...ack! the focus was fine and the glass was clear, but i just can't stand that jammed up feeling when i'm shooting......

so now it's off to CLA land....

it got me thinking though that i should double up on focal lengths, in the event i have to send something out...my 50s are covered and soon i'll have two 90s...

i'm in the process of selling my CV 35, so i'll have to replace....ugh...so i'm looking for a canon 35mm f2 or 1.8 for a reasonable price...anyone selling?

Been there, done that, on the multiple brindis on the fourh or fifth 1/2 l beer jar some of it ended inside the front pocket of my black student bag, only the train tickets were soaked but fun enough, after drying they just went ok through the machine...

Sorry to hear about the lens, tools of the trade anyway so the only thing you could do was to send it for service, and you should be really happy meanwhile with a Canon 35/1.8 or 2, maybe KevinCameras has something...
