Maybe I'll be in Berlin the last week of September, but that would be mostly for the congress of the German Historians' Society. Which means very little time to do some meet&beer/coffee&street shootin'. Maybe I could come over a day earlier or stay two days longer, we'll see.

Would be very cool to see one of you guys then. What do you think?

Haha, that negative I took with the flexaret ist just hanging in the bathroom for drying. May post the actual picture later. By the way, anyone in for the C/O photography days?

I would like to see tha panel on Friday, but am busy.

Do you think if we'd change the 'Berlin?' to 'Berlin!' more people would participate? We have this elaborate thread about our beloved city, and yet it's always the three of us, tops.

I need to catch these talks a little earlier.

If you guys are going to get together in another week or so, let me know and I'll train up there for the day too. All I need is a cheap little hotel for the night.

While on the subject of Berlin - I have several ink-reproductions (lithos, I think) of photographs made of Berlin and surrounding areas. They precede the introduction of the automobile. And while it is all very early in the technology of photography, the work is the best I've seen. I would be happy to put them up on a web site if anyone is interested. I'd be very interested in seeing photographs of the same areas today, and to learn more of the history of the areas. (The architecture was beautiful. I know much, perhaps most, has been lost to wars.)

That is the kind of historical shooting I love.

If you can mark the location of the shot on a map, I'll take shots of it all today for comparison.

Unfortunately, many photos were spoiled by particles in the old and long unused Diafine.
