Thanks much guys!
Taemo, I love the light on that portrait of the lady. I never did well with portraits on 6 x 6, but you nailed this one.

Oh wow, those recent shots here are great. Particularly the color shots are great too!
One from Georgia:
Our host in a remote village of Tusheti, Georgia (South Caucasus; February 2014).
Taken on Kodak Portra 160.

Peter, this shot will make a wonderful story. Tell us the background info as it looks like a shot of his house/restaurant.

Thank you, Benjamin!!
I will try....Just recently I was with a Georgian college in Tusheti, a remote part of the Georgian Caucasus mountains, to start setting up an avalanche and winter safety program in the area (for a program that aims at reducing migration of mountains people to the valleys by generating basic winter incomes through sustainable/soft winter tourism), but also to document the life of the few inhabitants that stay there over the winter.
Our host was Zurab, a typical Georgian – hospitable as a host can be, always concerned about our well-being in the cold winter mountain environment, and with a charmingly rough character...and smoking too much. This moment shown here was typical during our stay. While I write down my notes and observations from the day out in the field, Zurab prepares hot water for tea, coffee and food in his simple kitchen, while watching TV (powered by solar) or just watching the time go by, and having his smoke.
I have several undeveloped rolls sitting here...so more is probably coming

Absolutely cool.
I have always admired people who brave such conditions daily, and take their lives in their stride. Its amazing how simply they live, yet are fully appreciative of what they have. Sometimes I wish I could live like that, but I know it will be tough. Real tough.
Looking forward to the series Peter!

There is some really nice new work on this thread. Peter S, I, too, really like your portrait. I'll add a humbler shot of my own on Portra 400. As I organise the photographs form this most recent trip, I'll try to add a few more.

Malacca with the GF670
Malacca with the GF670
Armed with only the GF and Ricoh GRD4, I did a 2 day trip to Malacca, Malaysia over the weekend.
The owner of a convenience store at a road junction. He has been running his shop for about 50 years.
Mr Tock, with a 8 x 10 Ilford RC paper print I did of his wife back in 2011/2012. In my previous trip, I photographed her as they tended to their weekend flea-market stall along Jonker Street. During this visit, I handed over this print to him only to find out that she had passed on 6 months earlier.

Sometimes a camera comes along and you immediately gel. I could never get on with my Mamiya 6MF, but when the GF670 arrived from a forum member (OdDbaLL - highly recommended), I was immediately at home with it running around as though it were a Leica. I'm on the lookout for a 670W now.

This shot was overexposed by about 2 stops as it was a quick snap. Managed to pull back the details via Lightroom 5, and voila!
