Thanks for the kind words!
Hands down my favorite lab in NYC is LTI...
http://ltiny.com/
They are a little more expensive than some of the other labs, but their work is stellar and they are NICE to you. There is no attitude in there. Just helpful as all get out and some of the cleanest negs I've ever seen.
Really? I used LTI when I was in NY and although they were not rude to me I don't think they were particularly nice. The place has no soul.
A photographer I know who used to live in NY recommended The Small Darkroom (http://www.smalldarkroom.com). They seem to be a bit more expensive than LTI, though.

Yes, really. I have only had great experiences there. The main guy in there is great. He greets me by name when I walk in... and started doing that after only my second time in.

I just looked and this lab you mention doesn't appear to do E6 processing. I shoot mainly E6 when I shoot 8x10. When I asked the main guy at LTI when they would give it up, he said they'd be the last lab to go in NYC.

first shots with Fuji GF670
got my film back from Walmart. Shot Fuji Velvia and asked for prints, but looks like they won't do prints for me from slide film.
One thing about the slides, though. The contrast seems to be very high. Perhaps this is due to using slide film in bright sunlight, but I wonder if this is compounded by my cheap Canon 9000F scanner's limited dynamic range?

It's Velvia! If you don't want cartoon color and high contrast, I'd suggest using a film more attuned to reality....One thing about the slides, though. The contrast seems to be very high...
Astia is a good choice:

I've been pleased with the new Portra400. You can dial in as much contrast as you like in PP. These are witha C330F http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1653266&postcount=998

I think it has the best contemporary lens in modern photography, from the web shots I've seen. Sure is a big camera though. I bet they could have made it much smaller if they had stopped at 6x6. Best of luck w/ the new camera.

Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Dana, all three of these are beautiful: composition, tonality, detail. What film and processing did you use? It is images like these that make this camera so special. Great work!

Many thanks. I used Tri-X, HC-110 B, 4.5 mins at 68* F. Love this camera, though I'm afraid I may have a small light leak, and have sent it into Fuji USA for a fix.
