OSH that is fabulous. I grew up at the coast on the edge of Snowdonia. Beautiful.
I have so nearly bought this camera so many times, only to hesitate at the last moment. None of the above lessens my interest.

Sad story: I'm currently selling my silver GF670 and the scanner. These are some old and some of the last scans of the films, I did.

I will really miss that camera.

A question for the hikers: while in the field (especially in the wild) how do you protect the camera from the elements?

I'm seriously considering getting one as a field camera, but was hesitating as I wonder whether (or how well) the innards would hold up.

if it helps... i know a colleague who used the gf670 throughout much of the 'trouble in iraq' with zero problems. the same camera also visited Rwanda and a few other difficult environments for cameras. no issues any time.
