Where I live it rains a lot. Using the R3M a lot I'm a bit worried about getting too much rainwater inside it, because I can't really put it away for very long while shooting.

Does anyone have any experience on this? If so: how long, and how much rain? Can you ruin the light meter?

Lenses I use: Nokton 40/1,4 and Color Skopar 21/4 (w adapter).

Thanks for the question. I was about to ask the exact same thing.

I'm always getting drizzles of rain and snow on my camera and I've never had problems. Small amounts of water won't hurt it (i think) but I'd never bring it out in a monsoon or blizzard.

Once I spilled a Tom Collins on my R3a and the ISO dial was sticky for a few days. It appears to be fine now!

Yeah, a little splash here and there you probably don't have to worry about, but don't go swimming with it 😉

I use my R2 in rain and snow without problems. I have it out long enough to compose and shoot and tucked under my jacket or in my bag when it's not in use.
