Bessa L... Dimensions?

I'm looking for the inner dimensions of a bessa L, to see what it may take in order to properly modify one for a j12. Yes, I know... sounds crazy, but Im more or less determined unless someone else can show me the way to an affordable 35mm LTM lens. Ive got college pockets :-(

Why not use a Russian camera? FEDs, Zorkis etc. are easily available! The Bessa L is a very plasticky body. I would not dare to mess with it that way. Youo would probably lose proper meter function so why not go Rusky right away?

1/2000th... I use it often enough that I need it ;-)

Try a few different Jupiter 12s in your Bessa L before you start. Some will fit, some won't. How much this is down to design variation over the life of the lens, and how much it's down to slack Soviet quality control I don't know - but some just seem to be that vital 1mm shorter.

My late-model black J12 fits into my R2 ok, and it fitted in my previous Bessa R as well. All it means is you loose the use of the meter - no biggie.
