I have a new to me Bessa L and love it. It takes fabulous photos, but I have a worry about metering. I have shot a few rolls and print them in my darkroom. The negatives seem to print well, but perhaps are somewhat dense.
Today I tested my meters against the Bessa. I used a Seconic L-308S and my Nikon D800. The D800 gave a reading of f11 @ 1/50. The Seconic gave a reading of f11.5 @ 1/60. Those are close. But the Bessa gave a reading of f11 @ 1/250, quite a difference. Looking at the LCD on the Nikon the exposure seems just a bit underexposed, but certainly workable.
Does the focal length have much to do with it? The Bessa has a 25 snapshot mounted and the Nikon has a 35. Any ideas or suggestions?

The CameraQuest website states the following (so it appears the lens can make a difference, but I doubt the snapshot skopar is one of them):
"TTL metering with LED readout on the back edge of the top plate: Yes, this thru-the-lens metering works with most any LTM lens, so long as the rear element does not protrude deeply into the body -- thereby blocking the metering cell."
