I have just got back from a trip to Spain using a Bessa L and a Turret finder & scale focusing with a 50mm lens. I did not have time to test the compatabiliity of the finder and body, but I must say I am really pleased with the results framing is great as I noted and and used image markers to refer back to. The only reason I have posted here as I have read on other forums that photographers have had viewing and framing proplems with turret finders on 50 mm and mine worked great, I think the difficulty arrises in the distance of the centres of the lens and viewfinder causes you to aline the camera lens incorrectly , the lens is not seeing your field of view

It's great that you managed to scale focus a 50mm! My focus guessing is only good enough for 35mm maximum 🙁

Now, there's only one thing left to do, and that's to show us the pictures 🙂

Isn't the finder adjustable for parallax? If it is, mind you, you'll still have to experiment a bit to see if the markings on it are a match for the camera. The shoe-to-mount distance varies from camera to camera.
