There's no such thing as "Bessa Porn," and that's what's good about them.

They're just machines to take pictures, they're not objects of mechanical perfection that inspire lust.....and collect dust on shelves.

Leave that to the black-paint-LHSA-commemorative-edition crowd. :D

Fastest Bessa on the Block ... R3A with Canon 0.95 !!

Fastest Bessa on the Block ... R3A with Canon 0.95 !!

Just recently got my R3A from Jonathan and had some time tonite to make the necessary measurements ..... AND, whaddaya NO, it does fit, doesn't shroud the
metering and doesn't damage the camera. Just spent the evening shooting Christmas lights around the neighborhood .....

Love this rig!!!!

I sold off this pretty camera since I wasn't shooting film. Happy to have an R-D1 now.

it's really beautiful looking piece of equipment
Your blue T is probably the sexiest in this thread.

Hi Minoltist, how do you like new VF... I'm thinking for some time about buying it (wearing glasses and having hard time with speed framing). Could you be descriptive and comparative with enough lines of text? :D Thanks

Finish is nice. No parallax compensation (afaik only 90mm CV has it).
VF itself has slight barrel distorsion ,
I didn't use it so much yet... I had some problems with wrong framing in the past (like heads and hands cut off), and I hope this VF will improve my frame composition

Ahhh, I can finally contribute to this thread. Next time I'm going to rig up a lightbox.
The DOF on the second was a little thinner than I anticipated. But that's what I get for shooting wide open at 200mm. :D

I've noticed that some R3As say "BESSA R3A" on the front while others say just "R3A" and have the word BESSA on the top. Are the ones that say Bessa on the front just the ones that were produced earlier, or is there some other significance?

It seems like the ones with BESSA on the top are also missing the "Voigtlander Germany Since 1756".
