Bessa R case and Canon P

Can anyone tell me whether the Bessa r case will fit a Canon P rangefinder? Also, does the bessa case have a tripod screw on the bottom of it?

No screw on the Bessa Case bottom. It has leather "loops" that snap to the main case after being looped over the lugs. Since the lugs on the Canon P are elsewhere, I'd guess the case won't fit. I bought a Canon half case on the bay for just a little money.

No, it won't fit. In addition to what Jim said, the Canon P is wider than the Bessa (just checked to confirm this). You'll need to look for a Canon ERC (what I did). I don't know if Zhou or Luigi make half cases for Canon Ps.

I happened to have both items and can confirm that it does not fit. The case is too small for the Canon P.
