What's your experience with R series cameras and lens size?
When I picked up an R a few months ago I wasn't sure what lenses I'd match it with, but one I had in mind the Color Skopar 35/2.5 which I already own. That seems to be the classic matchup with this camera. I also bought an Ultron 35/1.7 recently. The Ultron was fine but it blocked the viewfinder. I switched to the Color Skopar. My conclusion: I much prefer the Ultron, even if it does cause some viewfinder blockage. It's a larger, heavier lens and it just seems to feel right, plus it steadies the camera.

The Bessa R and the Ultron 35/1,7 are an excellent combination. I agree absolutely.

Ultron is world class lens for bw on film. Color Skopar is good for color. I've had R come to me with black J-8, I also have it with white J-8 (collar version). They all fit well and aligned as is. Also have J-12 (blocking sensor) and Industar-10 (collapsing all way in, but must be carefull).
