Hello everybody,

I've got an question about the Bessa R2(a): Is it compatible with the Leica viewfinder magnifier M 1.25x? Because i'm interessted to buy the R2a, together with an Leica summilux f1.4 35mm. And in the future an Leica summilux f1.4 75mm will folow.

I'm wearing glasses. And when i look to the R2a 75mm frameline. I think it's very small. So what's your experience about using an Bessa R2(a) with 75mm frameline/lens? 🙂

No it is not compatible. The Bessas share eye piece accessories with some Nikon models. I forget which model Nikon would be consistent with the R2a and R3a.

That said, I don't think there is a way to effectively use the 75/1.4 on a Bessa. I think the R3a would even be stressed to focus it due to its short EBL.

No, that is the external viewfinder which fits in the camera's hot shoe.

I used my CV 75/2.5 (an excellent lens by the way) on my R2 without a problem due the small framelines. I thought the 90mm framelines were small, but the 75 ones worked fine.

I think if you search "diopter" you may come up the Nikon model whos accessories you can look for.
