My family's first VCR just showed up one day. The Sears delivery truck left it at the wrong house, no shipping papers, no signitures, just left it. It lasted quite a while too.
Alright, I just looked at a few of the negatives under a 10X loupe and I think I may have cut my eye, the photos are so sharp. I'm thinking the old Nokton just had some problems.. Phew.
As an example, here's one of the test shots I took. It's one of the first ones I scanned in but it works as a simple test. Focus point was the center of the blob of reflected light on the right. Oops.
Although I'm also starting to wonder about the Nokton. I just looked at another roll I shot at my cousin's a couple of weeks ago. Tri-X pushed to 800. The shots look.... good. Most were shot wide open or close to wide open, too. It was another night of simple snapshots but they work..
Focus was on the larger glass pitcher just to the right of center. Maybe the Nokton wasn't a dog afterall.
Actually, the Nokton has very recently been sold regardless of that roll's results for one good reason: The Leica was slightly pricey and I needed the cash.
Well, today, I do have a metering problem.
I picked up the bessa-R and there is no meter visible.
I checked the battery with the DMM and altho it was 1.5v+
I changed it anyway with the same result.
Is this common? I can't find any reference to it by Google.
ANY help greatly appreciated.
