Hello,

After working with a Contax G2, I have decided to put it out in eBay. Main reason is I want to go back to manual focusing.

I am looking on purchasing a Bessa R2a and a Leica 50mm f/2.8 Elmar. However, Im not familiar with collapsible lenses and would like to know if the Elamar can be fully-collapse on a R2a without damaging the internal of the camera?

I would appreciate any comments!

Regards.

I don't know what the answer is, but I know where you can find it
(I keep telling my students that, too 😀 )
http://www.cameraquest.com and then to Classic Camera Profiles and look for the Cosina Voigtlander section. I believe there's a list of what can and cannot be collapsed for at least the R2. I'm guessing the R2a will be the same... I think?!

My dad's got a G2 and has offered it to me - sadly it just doesn't do it for me (my very personal opinion)...

Yes I did saw the article in cameraquest. It was mentioned in Bessa R and R2 but not in R2a thats why Im a bit hesitant.

Thanks.
