Hello,

Can someone please tell me whether or not the Bessa-R3A is a good choice for IR photography? I know there's a whole host of issues with SLR cameras related to stray light and LEDs, etc. Based on my research, rangefinders appear to be a better choice than SLRs.

Thank you in advance....

Dan

Okay, out of 21 views I guess no one knows if IR is a good idea with the Bessa-R3A or maybe it's a stupid question--I am not sure. I am new to rangefinders and this is the deciding factor for me. Thanks for your time.

Regards,
Dan

patience dan!
the r3a is still a new camera and not many people shoot ir film.

i don't see why it would not be good for ir.
most rf cams are suited for the job and much better than a slr simply because one is not required to look thru the deep red filter.

but you knew that already didn't you.

Gentleman,

Thank you very much for your responses. I knew the part about "not viewing through the dark red filter" is an advantage; but because I am new to this technology I was not sure if the Bessa used LEDs or contains inadvertent light paths that would expose IR film. I certainly appreciate your responses, again, thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Dan
