The Bessa T arrived today and it truly looks new. It will even take my Visoflex III so I'll be able to use my Telyt lens on it.

Am I correct in assuming that it takes 2 silver oxide cells such as the Energizer 357?

Congratulations on the T! I'm sure you'll like it every bit.

There's one thing odd with the batteries though, (I use two LR44 by the way).. and that's that the meter stays on during long exposures in bulb mode. If you're doing a lot of night scenes, you'll drain the battery even if the camera functions entirely mechanically.

Weird, a battery for metering that drains when you're in a bulb mode where there's no point in metering..

I imagine using the Visoflex will not be as "simple" as on a Leica since the mirrr release should not line up with the shutter button.

There's a page on the Cameraquest site which shows that the Visoflex can be used without any modifications, just a soft release on the shutter button to take up the slack.. scroll down to the very bottom of http://www.cameraquest.com/VCBT.htm

Simple fix.. Use a 15mm TTAbrahams softrelease shutter button and it works fine..

I have souped-up my T, with the Trigger Winder, Tom's Soft Release, 50mm f1.2 Canon lens with original lenshood, and original UV filter. I've also added the CV Vertical grip (LIKE IT) and a modern 77mm Canon Ultrasonic lenscap. Looks very cool, and it's fun to play with.

It is a joy to use. Hope you like yours as well.

Currently I have the 15, 21, and 35mm lens with finders for it in addition to my other Leica-M lens. I should be getting my 0.95 Canon lens back soon which I plan to try on this camera.

I haven't decided whether to get the grip yet.
