hello,
I actually use my Bessa R with russians 50mm lens (jup.3+jup.8) and I'd like to add a wide angle lens to make a compact combo for travel .
i'm looking for the 28/3,5 Color Skoppar because it looks sharp and very compact , the 3,5 aperture is not a probleme for me .
The question is : what do you think of using this lens on the Bessa without external viewfinder ? did you try ? easy or difficult ?
The external viewfinder has no parallax correction, so is it very usefull ?

Thank for your opinions 😉

I have a 28 finder and it is pretty close to the field of view of the whole viewfinder on my R2, so it shouldn't be too bad to use it without the external finder. But having the framelines even without parallax correction is really nice.

I use a 28 mm without a VF. It works shooting quick and dirty but a VF is high up my wishlist because it happens regularly that I cut some details off or get some unwanted ones.

I recently started to use the color skopar 28 with metal voigtl. vf on my Bessa r. I think it is very useful. It has separated lines for infinite/close shots. I haven't tried to shoot without the vf, but is should not be a big problem. Stephen G. writes about the brightlines on the bessa R: The 50 and 75 appear separately, the 35 and 90 are paired together. The finder goes well beyond the boundaries of the 35 frameline, supplying a last resort for at least most of the 28 frameline, if you don't have a separate 28 finder.

Thank for responses 😉

I've found a russian turret viewfinder,so I"ll try to take pictures with and without .
If i think VF is necessary, I"ll buy the voigt.when i will have the money .
I've tested this afternoon without the finder, it's not very easy (i make slides )
