Another opinion. I have a 3.5 Summaron for which I probably paid too much, but it is in beautiful condition (absolutely no haze, fungus, or coating deterioration). Its images are not dissimilar to those of a 2.8 Summaron or early Summicron, provided it is stopped down to, say, f/5.6 with no flare. Wide open it loses some sharpness near the edge and overall contrast, and thus will look more 'vintage.'
