Best/Compact Flash fer Bessa R?

A Minolta Auto-14 flash boldly goes where no flash has gone before: atop my Bessa R. About the size of a pack of smokes, runs on 2xAA, has auto or manual settings.

Throughout the 70s Konica and others made a version of the same unit. I got mine for $10 at a camera swap. Good little flash.

I use a used Metz 20 BC-6 on my RF whan I rarely use flash. They come with a 28mm wide angle diffuser as standard and are reasonably small. 3 x AA power it fine with auto and manual. Only prob is that the access to the shutter speed dial is harder when it's mounted on the hot shoe. Set the synch speed first, simple really.

The handy thing about it is the front profile of the camera with the flash mounted is still reasonably discreet. Downside is that the flash is closer to the lens so red eye could be more of a problem.

Been using Nikon SB-22s for the last half year, and its nice, compact and uses 4 AA batteries.
Work excellent on my Contax G2 or Olympus C8080WZ if i have to use a flash.
Just adjust the iso, set the f stop and shoot, and the photos looks fine.
Covers down to 28mm. Compared to the Metz (CT45-5) i used before this one covers most settings fine. And since everyone who has Nikon Dslr cant use it you can do a bargain.
If you dont think its to big, buy it.

vha.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Okay, its come to these three!

Metz 20 BC-6
Nikon SB-27
Contax TLA 200

They seem to be the most compact out there?
Is the contax overkill?

Thanks

I'm a bit biased towards Metz flashes - the 20BC series mentioned above is the most compact one, though it does not allow that much control over the chosen aperture; much more versatile, but almost as small are the Metz 32 series flashes; my most-used flash is the 40MZ-2 (I got 2, since I like it that much) - quite heavy, but still rather compact, and it can do anything you ever wanted from a flash...

If your feeling adventurous and dont care about your results you can try to get that color splash thing they sell on that lomo photography site. I hate all things lomo related but have been contemplating picking up one of those color splash flashes because they are small and possibly fun.

I use the Sunpak 1600A, very compact, super cheap, uses 2 AA's and lightweight.

Would anyone disagree with the purchase of the

Contax TLA 200.

I may be leaning towards it because of the lcd and it is pretty slick.
It has a low profile and possibly purchasing a G2 as well.

Thanks
