just curious...there seems to be alot of various viewfinders out there, from Leica to Russian. Which viewfinders, either marquee or not, seem to be the best bang for the buck? The range can be anywhere from 21mm to 100mm.

Yes, auxillary VF's. Especially for Contax, Nikon, Bessa T, etc.

The old Leitz 35mm, 3.5cm, SBLOO is fantastic .. such a big bright view! I'm probably going to get the Zeiss 25/28mm finder, hoping that it will be the equivalent of the SBLOO for the wider lenses.

The best single bang for the buck I've experienced is a 20mm Russian finder that I used with a 21mm lens. It has mechanical parallax correction that works very will. I have not tried any other Russian finders. The Zeiss finders are terrific but extremely expensive, the Leica finders are just OK but expensive. Probably the best range in terms of price/quality are the CV finders. Some of the earlier ones had the reputation of shoes that would break when you clipped them into the camera but I have not experienced that.

I echo Peter. The CV finders, especially the newest models including the 28mm highpoint, are wonderfully bright and the frame lines are visible even with glasses. I have a Leica 21mm finder and the CV 21mm and the CV is a bit brighter and because it is larger, much easier to frame with.
I will add that I have heard good things about Leica's 21-24-28 finder but have never looked through it.
