Toni Nikkanen
Well-known
Hi, I have the Nokton MC 35/1.4 lens with the hood and while the lens itself is great and all that, I'm not satisfied with the supplied lens cap. It's a bit fiddlish to get securely on, but the most important problem is that when attached to a srew-in filter, it can get completely stuck and can't be removed except with extreme force or very skillful wiggling.
So I'm looking for experiences with other caps that have been found to work well both with lens hoods and screw-in filters.
For background, I use Nikon caps on all my Canon FD SLR lenses and my Mamiya 7 lenses. They are easy to use with a lens hood, easy to snap in, stay securely in place and when you try to remove them, that also happens easily. But seems Nikon doesn't make caps for such small filter thread sizes... but maybe someone else does?
