Bicycles - anyone ride?
Here's my current Raleigh with a Sturmey-Archer 3-speed, which I have yet to ride...[I bought it for $4 usd at a church sale and have been equipping it ever since, so now it must weigh a ton...
I gave my beautiful Peugeot 10-speed with 531 Reynolds tubing, French saddle British mudguards and all my bike tools to the gardener, who took it to Guatemala...
As a boy I had a Raleigh 3-speed with Brooks saddle, French toe clips and British Dynohub; a Schwinn Superior, with fixed-gear, single-gear. Schwinn disc brakes and French toe clips; a BSA of England, with single gear and a CCM of Canada, also with single gear...
PLEASE NOTE: I'M STILL LOOKING FOR WING NUTS TO BE USED ON THE STURMEY ARCHER REAR AXLE, WHICH IS BIGGER THAN THE AXLE ON THE FRONT WHEEL... IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE ANY...

I try to race at least four times a week (if the weather permits it) on my Gazelle V2.
For vacations I have a modified Koga Miyata. Racks, butterfly steer, Brooks saddle, loads of bags and other things I've added while on the road
And my very old Gazelle city bike does very well for everyday biking to and from work and university.
I have loads of pictures, but no scanner, sorry!

I have a Trek 5500 OCLV - very stiff, but still manages to be comfortable.
Had a Specialized Stumpjumper until about a year ago....still have no idea what happened to it, but it ain't here any more.

Early '80s vintage Colnago Super, late '80s vintage Ciocc, both with a mix of Campy and Dura-Ace (friction shift on both, 12 speeds); Bridgestone MB-2, and a couple of Raleigh 3-speeds.

I'm riding a Masi road bike occasionally. I say that because I wish I could ride more. I just started commuting to work on Saturday mornings (I don't work Sunday or Monday) and it's great.
Hey Mark, Is that a Brooks B-17 saddle? What do you think of it?
My dream bike is a Rivendell Rambouillet. I wish I'd given more thought to the importance of dropouts and tire clearance on a bike. I can't put proper fenders or panniers on the Masi. Both would come in handy commuting in occasionally rainy Portland. Also, the ability to put slightly fatter and softer tires would help my aging bones handle the rough streets.

A truly ancient Raleigh tourer
flat bars and panniers, lugged 531 frame, brooks saddle. Not particularly quick (maybe that's me) or stylish (maybe that's me) , but comfortable enough to ride all day (maybe that's ..)

Shooter of Film...
Just rode this morning...It's a Trek 2300 frame that was replaced under warranty so I built the bike from the bare frame up...
Great ride this morning...50 miles...
My old frame cracked at the Bottom Bracket...also broke a stem and wheelset on that bike...Recently replaced a busted handlebar on this one...
The kids joke about what will break next...

I have several bikes.
Daily commuter is a singlespeed Spooky Cycles supertouch cyclecross conversion. Rather swanky parts, with a black paint job and red anodized accents.
The main mountain bike is a Vicious Cycles Monolith (singlespeed disc brake, eccentric bb) with a pink to purple fade.
Third is a LOOK KG381* with full Ultegra. This bike has history, it belonged to an inspirational man named Keith Alexander. He sadly passed away in 2005 while riding. He went headlong into concrete without a helmet. (*not the bike he had his accident on)
I ride passionately and ride to work almost everyday, I share the sentiments expressed above about Family, Cameras, and Bikes. I've got more lying around in pieces, but these three are my active rides.

For my daily commutes to the BART Station, I have a pair of Raleighs. One Raleigh twenty folding bike, and a Super Grand Prix for when I really need to get there fast.
I also normally have a 1959 Schwinn Tornado that I use to ride around town, but the rear hub cracked its shell, and I have not had the time to get it replaced.
I also have a restored road bike frame that needs to be assembled, and a Columbia that to reassemble, too.

Right now, moslyt my 05 Giant TCR Carbon. I do have a Gios that i rode back in the 80s. I also have a Lemond Zurich about 1997 or so.
Since racing from the 80's, I must have about 20 bikes in the past. Oh, I turned senior men and Hincape was still a Jr and he was kicking my butt.

I have a Raleigh mountain bike with road tires on it I used to use for commuting about 10 years ago. I should put it on the road again, as I could certainly use the excercise.
It does have 21 gear choices, although I used to be able to gring up the hills here on the big ring, it is nice to hae two smaller ones as I'm getting older...

A beach cruiser I found in a garbage can last summer when my neighbors moved out. I bought alloy rims, new tires and replaced the wheel bearings. Very nice ride gets me around town and no one has tried to steal it yet.

I ride a beat up 16+ year old frankenstein mountain bike. I think it was a Nashiki when i got it. It is parked (locked) on the street in NYC, so the more beat up the better.

Very timely, until 2 years ago I used to ride a lot for fun and commuting. This week's project is to tune up my bikes and get riding again.
I've got an old steel Jamis Quest ,all 105, and a Giant Hybrid bike for commuting on which I replaced all the stock Giant and other cheap components with LX, so it's not a bad ride.
Anyway it's not the bike it's the motor. After a 2 year layoff looks like my motor is in for some suffering.
