I was thinking about which film camera , among far too many , I would grab for lazy snapshots ...
I realised , with a shock , that it would be an old 1997 Minolta 404si , very plastic SLR with it's zoom and a Minolta 50 f1.7 .
I bought it at the airport before a visit to Toronto , and it never let me down ,
was light and small enough to be almost a compact and turned in acceptable images .
Not the Muji or T 35 then .

Minolta used to make some decent cameras (Maxxum 7 & 9 for example), and 404si is not a slouch. That 50mm 1.7 is a superb lens. The perfect light combo for me would be Dynax 5/Maxxum 5 and 50mm 1.7 Maxxum 5 is a superb small, light SLR and you can find them very cheap these days.
