Big scare-bad night-huge relief

Stupid me - I left my camera-bag with ALL my Leica M gear on the backseat of the car when I gave it to my car-dealer to change my winterwheels. Drove around the country stopping at various places,I came home to find it gone 😱 😱 😱 . After closing time of course. Turns out today they took it into safe custody, but forgot to put it back and forgot to call me about it.

Perhaps it's overkill but the only time I lock my car when I am at the upstate NY country house is when I have my camera gear in it!

Really hope this didn't take too many weeks off your life expectancy (it might have in my case). My bag goes everywhere I go, all the time – no exceptions.

This is what stopped me worrying about going out with expensive kit. Let's face it. if some lowlife is going to half-inch your camera to get his next fix he's not going to be bothered if it's the Leica or the mju-2, is he?

And it happened just because they had two very recent additions to their showroom: the new Jaguars XK and XK convertible. I couldn't stop myself from drooling all over them. Unfortunately I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I didn't buy either 😀 😀 And I could not buy both - VISA refused to authorize a 250.000,-- Euro withdrawal 😉 :bang:
