Bill - in that self-portrait on page 146 of The Leica Manual, what M-model do you have next to you? Were you working or freelancing for a paper at the time?
And BTW - that darkroom you're in looks fantastic. Was it at home or at work?
For my own part, I'm resigned to working in the 'Open Darkroom' program at 3 hours at a time at a local high school. It's not long enough. A girlfriend once said while rolling her eyes: "You'd never come out of a well-equipped darkroom."
