yes, the black dot is adhesive.

I just spoke with the Parts Dept. at Leica NJ. No black dots available; no slotted battery covers either. 🙁

Marius, you must have received yours from Leica in the European continent. Leica in NJ will send the red ones for free, but not the black ones.
